Let’s give it a go

In Find, enter the item’s name. Use Filters to choose a place or room.

Open a result to see its full storage path.

To speak, tap Ask Céoù at the bottom and ask “Where are my scissors?”.

You can also ask to store an item. Check the result and clarify the item or storage if Céoù asks.

Say “That’s all” or close the window when finished. It also closes after 20 seconds without a reply.

Have a code written on a storage space? Type its 6 characters into the same field, or use the camera on the right. A single QR opens the storage directly after checking your access. For handwriting, check the suggested code before opening the result. The storage codes chapter explains recognition and the photo allowance.

Open a storage spot, container or moving box. Look for “The code to write on it”. If you created it offline, reconnect and sync to get its code.

Copy all 6 characters in large, clear capitals with a marker, or use a small label on furniture. The hyphen makes it easier to read. No printer needed, and no code to invent yourself.

In Find, type the code into the usual search field. Lowercase letters, spaces and hyphens work too. Open the result with “See contents”. You need an Internet connection to look up the code and check your access permissions.

A storage location’s code opens its items and containers. A box’s code opens that box. From a wall or floor view, tap the storage, then “Open storage” to find its details and code.

To avoid typing, tap the camera icon on the right of search. Allow camera access, frame just the code in good light and hold the phone steady. With your permission to use AI, an image is captured automatically and sent to Google Gemini to read the characters. There is no shutter button to press; reading can take a few moments.

For handwriting, check the suggested code before opening its contents. A single exact Céoù QR opens the storage directly if you have access. Several QR codes offer a choice. If reading fails, move closer, improve the lighting or type the code.

To print, open “Print labels” from a storage location. Select the locations and choose the path to display: full, home only or none. Labels keep their existing codes. On a phone, you can also share the PDF; on a computer, save as PDF from the print dialog.

Moving a box? Open its details, tap “Move this container” and choose its new storage spot or room. All its items and nested containers move with it, and the code stays the same. For a box in an active move, use the moving workflow.

In Profile, open Import / export. On the Import tab, look at the example and download the CSV template.

Use one row per object: name, information, category, tags, home, room, storage and containers. Keep the template’s French column headers. Only the name is required; choose a destination before importing. Two identical controllers need two rows. There are no quantity or price columns.

Save as UTF-8 CSV and select the file in Céoù. Review the preview before confirming: each row shows what needs attention.

Choose a default storage for rows without a location. Resolve unknown or ambiguous paths with the location picker. Explicitly allow new categories if you want to create them.

Import the valid rows and correct the others. After a connection failure, resume from Previous imports. Objects already created in that batch will not be created again.

On the Export tab, select homes and choose CSV or Excel. Shared homes require explicit selection. The file has one row per object, its path, usual place and loan status.

Open an item page and tap “Add a receipt”.

Photograph the till receipt — or import the PDF the shop emailed you.

Note the seller, the purchase date, the amount, and the warranty end date if the item has one.

One receipt can cover several items. Open it from the home’s Receipts screen and add them: each keeps its own amount and warranty.

From another item page, choose “One already saved” to attach it to the same receipt without photographing the paper again.

The “Without receipt” tab lists everything with no proof yet. The export button, at the top, builds the complete file.

On the plan, tap your room and then wall A, B, C or D. The mini-map highlights your chosen wall and shows existing doors.

Tap “Place a storage location” and choose existing storage. On a wall, drag it or use the arrows. Adjust its width and height with + and −, then save. A shelf can sit above a chest of drawers.

Tap “Floor” in the centre of the mini-map. Storage is shown from above. Choose furniture, then “Edit placement” to move it and adjust its width and length. Save to keep the result.

To move storage from a wall to the floor, or to another wall, open “Edit placement” and select the view you want. “Cancel” leaves the saved position unchanged.

Tap a door in the wall view to drag it, or use the arrows. Save: the same door updates on the top view and in the adjoining room if shared. To add a door, use “Door” in the top-view plan’s “Edit” mode.

Tap a storage location, then “Open storage” to browse its items, boxes and code. Moving it on the drawing changes neither its contents nor its code.

“Remove from wall view” removes only the placement on that wall, not the storage itself. With view-only access to a shared home, you can explore the views but cannot edit them.

On an object’s details, choose to lend or borrow it. Select an accepted friend for shared tracking, or enter a name for personal tracking.

Add an optional return date and note. A loan to a friend appears in their Loans screen without giving them access to your home.

Borrowing from a friend? Open the loan and choose to store it at your place. Pick a location in a home you own. A borrowed object entry appears in your inventory and can be moved around your home.

A notification opens the relevant loan. You can also check the Loans activity if notifications are disabled. Delivery depends on the phone and connection.

After returning the object, the borrower reports the return. The lender confirms that the object has been returned only after physically receiving it. This confirms the return to the lender, not the initial handover to the friend.

Confirmation closes the loan and removes the borrower’s local entry. The lender can then put the object back in its usual place as a separate action.

In Profile → Friends and invitations, tap Generate an access code.

Choose the homes they can view.

Set the duration and number of uses.

Name the code so you can recognise it, for example September guests.

Share the link or code. Your guest chooses I have an invitation code to enter.

Open Céoù while connected before you leave: available data is kept on your phone.

Offline, browse your inventory and add, rename or move items.

Pending changes are sent when the connection returns.

If a change is rejected, use the banner to review it or try again.
